We are a "cottage" group of Opticians with deep experience in eyeglass restoration. We sell vintage and antique eyewear from the mid-1800's to the late 1900's.
Most of the spectacles and eye glasses we sell are intended for use, and are ready to accept new prescription lenses. A few are museum or collector's pieces and are advertised as such.
We operate year-round, and often travel to find old stock.
Our laboratory can restore metal and plastic frames. We can solder, plate, fabricate, replace hinges, pads, pad arms, cable temples, rhinestones, and more.
We love old eyewear and the art of restoration and preservation.
Specialties:
We specialize in ornate metals from the early 20th century, round "Harry Potter" John Lennon Windsor frames, and multi-layered zyls from the 1950's and 1960's. Zyl cat-eyes and other shapes in the 1955-65 period really became an art form - worth preserving.
